Raise your hand if you are a stroke judge. That move was not technically legal but a body undulation is natural during the pullout. Kitajima had the most obvious dolphin kick from the underwater perspective but what stroke judge would have dq'd Kita as he is gliding 8m out under the Water?

You're allowed to do one dolphin kick before the the breaststroke kick NOW, but it was not allowed in Athens. :P

for lbm4n and others swimming novices out there, the dolphin kick during the pulldown of breaststoke was NOT legal during the time of the olympics in Athens. It was AFTER Athens when the rules were changed. Damn you kitajima!

No, it was still illegal During Montreal Championships 2005, but in 2006 it was legal

it doesn't matter though, because the dolphin kick pullout wasn't legalized for breastroke until AFTER Athens.
